    hello!
I bought small pre grown geraneo plants, and the leaves started to get yellow, I read on the internet that it could be because i overwater them, so i was very careefull about that, but the leaves are still turning yellow..I have them in the house and take them outside when the weather is nice, could it be because of humidity ?my house is at around 20-23degrees, also maybe because there is no wind?

    so difficult to grow flowers..!

Are they starving I wonder? I know nothing of the specific plant species you have, but yellowing leaves can be the first sign of a condition called chlorosis, which basically means that the plant is struggling to produce cholorphyll (plant blood - the stuff that makes them green).

Excess water, not enough water, starvation and insufficient light can all cause it. There are also other possible causes but I'd be looking at those ones first, ie make sure it is fed, watered but not wet, and is getting enough light.

thank you clueless, I have put given them some fertilizer, they get enough light, and I thought I was overwatering them but I think I am ok with that.
    Will see what happens

My I ask what size the young plants were and did you buy them from a nursery or DIY store ?
How long have you had them and have you repotted the plants ?

Not easy to advise when we cannot see the plants (are these Geraniums?)
I would think main problem might have been over watering either in the early stages as the plug plants easily become waterlogged in a none nursery enviroment ..Potting on is also another danger time if they don't have idea conditions (Small plant in large amount of compost can easily get wet)
However all is not lost , I would keep them in best light possible water carefully even if little but often until they get rooted better .Can I ask what compost you have used ?

    Hi Miriam .
You will be ok with those plants Miriam .I would just carefully remove those few very yellow leaves (take leaf right off back to the stem) to reduce the chance of disease. Just keep them in the best light and go easy on the watering .Once they get some good strong roots they with romp away . Dont be to keen on putting them outside still a chill in the air.
    Hope this has helped..
