Edinburgh Gardener

Hello all,

I've been interested in gardening for a long time. So far, however, I've only lived in flats with no gardening potential. I still live in a flat but the block has significant green space which over the last couple of years I've started taking bites out of to grow some fruit and veg. The green area is made up of mostly grass, well weeds, but around the walls in the past trees and plants once grew. Indeed, my grandma grew her flowers there so I am following in her trowel holes. Despite our location, the kids and I have managed the usual potatoes, carrots, peas, leeks, apples, pears, strawberries and raspberries as well as sweetcorn and peppers.

I have tried to rescue some of the existing flowers and bushes as well as introduce new ones with limited success. I don't have a lot of time so progress is slow.

I have joined this forum as I now feel I am at a point to start making a more serious in road to a more flowery future.
