Could anyone ID these two shrubs?

    The second one has a small blue/violet flower when in bloom.

      I can't see the 2nd too well but has a familiar look about it.. What about Ceonothus.?

        I agree with the first one being a Kerrie, we have one as well.

        Am sure the second one is a Ceanothus, we have one of them, too.

          Having done a search, and seen pictures of Ceanothus in flower, that looks like the one. Thanks all.

          The first is Kerria japonica Flore Plena, the second, as has been said, is Ceanothus possibly one of the arboreus varieties.:dbgrtmb:
