Help to find a plant needed :o)

Hi all,

I am a newbie to this forum, but let me start by saying how helpful it looks.
I need help trying to find the name of a plant that I saw a couple of years ago and they have never had it since - Oh how I wish I had bought it when I saw it !!!

It was a beautiful plant with black leaves and little hot pink flowers ???

Any advice or ideas would be much appreciated

The only plant I can think of is the Sambucus 'Black Beauty' Elder which has pink flowers ...

Hi Lots of black ones to choose from or very deep purple
Black lace / black beauty are good one's for the UK but hates drying cold winds but need full sun to get realy deep colour in the leaves and to make it flower realy well around about £10.00 google the variety and you will find a supplier , try and get a young plant as they establish a lot quicker and they are fast growers

Hi all,

I would just like to say thank-you for your advice.
We drove miles out to a huge garden centre/nursery today and I found my plant........
It was a Leptospermum scoparium, we bought the "Red Damask" variety but the variety that is my ultimate plant is "Ruby Glow".

I am a very happy gardener now !!!
