I was prompted to post this thread after replying to Tiarellas' thread about T&M seed packet average contents.

I have had very good service and a bonus from my veg seed supplier: http://www.vegetableseeds.net/

Not 100% sure but I think they are a relatively new company. Thier prices are very good. Choice is a bit limited but what they do have is all the basics, plus a few unusual items. The website is nothing fancy, but simple and easy to navigate. Very good for a computer Neanderthal like me. Easy to use and order your seeds. Goods arrive quickly and in good packaging. The seed packets themselves are nothing fancy, no enhanced colour pictures on them. However the packets do the job they are meant to do and are clearly labelled. After each order, I have received an email with basic, easy to read and understand growing tips about each of the seed types I have bought. I am really very happy with this straightforward, no nonsense approach. It is just good old fashioned service. No frills or gimmicks.

Each of the packets of seed I have bought from them has a plain stick on label saying what seed it is and the "Average contents". Every packet has contained more than stated. Each order has arrived with at least two free packets of different seed. One order came with five free packets, one of which was 100 Rhubarb seeds. I have sown some in a 12 cell tray and they have all germinated.

Of the seeds that I have bought and sown outside, (Carrot early Nantes, Beetroot and Parsnips) I have got very good germination results. The Cabbage Primo, Tomato Alicante and Moneymaker, Cauliflower All Year Round, Brussel Sprout Fillbasket and Evesham, Leeks, have all been sown either in 12 cell trays or in large pots for the Leeks, I am very impressed with the germination rate. Much higher than I expected.

Thought it would be a good thing to balance out the threads by praising a new company that is making an effort to do the job well. I am very happy with thier products, service and prices and I will be buying from them again. Has anybody else tried these people?

    Chopper.

Well said Chopper. I think we can all be quick to criticise - so its nice to see some praise as well.

Also I think one of the great benefits of this forum is feedback.

Use the code RXT511 for 10% off, just tried it, though I am currently not buying anything.
If that code doesn't work use there FaceBook code which is AD486 (again 10% off).

Also visit http://www.vegetableseeds.net/Discounts_For_Allotment_Societies_s/95.htm for allotment discounts. Or if you have a website.

Done all this by googling, at 4:30am..
Never heard of there site before but I trust Chopper since he's in almost all threads around here, and seems to be a trusted member.

And yes I am cheap (what do you expect?).

Also check out http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/bargain-hunting-t31512.html again by Chopper.
