I have a windowsill propogator, long slim heated tray with 7 quarter sized seed trays on it, each with its own lid. A week or so ago I refilled 4 of them with compost, placed them on the tray to warm, ready for the next seeds to go in.

Yesterday, I wanted to sow some more toms so grabbed a pot from the tray, removed the lid and there was around 4 or 5 tiny sproutings.

"Weed seed" thought I so I pulled them out, sowed my toms, wrote out the label and at the moment of placing the label, I noticed another one "Celery- Victoris F1"....

What a numbskull, I only pulled out my celery seedlings !! :gaagh:

    Steve...:)

I think we've all done it in one way or another Steve.
After my mother in laws father died she found a tray of seedlings in the greenhouse. Thinking it was the last thing her father ever planted she tended them lovingly and they flourished - a beautiful tray of chickweed !
