Odd to hear of problems with Firefox from someone, I think the 3 series is better than ever and beats all other browsers hands down, although saying that...I have never actually tried safari..I dont think.

    Steve...:)

I like Firefox, and it's what I mainly use, but I do have issues with it going slow occasionally, then I have to shut it down, start it up again, and it's fine.

I've tried Chrome, but I miss all my addons.

I`m getting regular "Firfoxe not responding" messages, maybe only for a second or two, and soon recovers ..so annoying.

Mmmm, doesn't sound as though Firefox is going to be a solution to my problem with the bug that logs me involuntarily off the Forum. Sorry, you're having such problems, Capney.

When the forum changed the time before last I was having serious problems accessing it with Internet Explorer so I switched to Firefox. Since then I've not had any issues even during the more recent change back to vBulletin.

I have tried Chrome but as you say without the add-ons it seems a little bleak. Firefox is on version 4.0 now ,so download it and see if things improve .
There are so many browsers now, back in the mid 1990's there was only IE and Netscape Navigator , anybody remember the dial-up-days , with huge phone bills ! :happydance:

 I found I liked lots of things about Chrome Woo & it was fast, but it used to cause me problems with my comps so always kept Firefox for them & in the end I am back with Firefox & no Chrome, but who knows I might try it again someday... :WINK1: :heehee:

Chrome opens each window/tab in a separate memory space. This is what makes it noticeably faster than the others. However, its thus a resource hog, so may cause problems on older computers as a result, and as web pages get more and more bulky. Chrome is also well integrated with Google - so you can google-search straight from the address bar, and it senses foreign language pages and offers google's Page Translation tool.

But FireFox has more plugins. I use FireFox for GC as I have a plugin that removes all the forums I'm not interested in, so I can just follow areas of interest, but I use Chrome for everything else.

I've used Firefox for years (at present on 3.6.16) with none of these problems, but then I don't use Windows.
