Tree, no idea

    Was giving this tree last year and was told it was an apple tree. The leaves came out 2-3 weeks ago and it looks like something else. The individual leaves are about 1-2cm long (at the moment) and thin.

    My initial feeling is that it is some form of sorbus (mountain ash)..???

    Thanks for all your replies. Guys I transplanted it about a month or so ago into my orchard. I'll have to move it again as I can't keep it there, would I be able to move it now again or should I wait until the autumn?

    look on the bright side. You'll be able to make rowan jelly with the berries and your apples! :sunny:
