    Afternoon all :)

I've just been in my shed and found a load of bulbs that should have been planted in Autumn (we only moved in in Feb). They were bought new last year... but I had forgotten I bought them.

Many have started growing with small shoots, so I'm wondering- is it best to get them in now and allow them to have some growth to feed the bulb, even though it's the wrong time or year, or is it best to wait til Autumn?

    These are the bulbs:

    Tulips
    Muscari
    Snowdrops
    Mini daffs
    Allium Moly
    Chinodoxa
    Anemone

Thanks in advance for your advice. Hope it's as nice with you as it is here in Hertford!

    Hi
    Naughty you

If you dont plant them this year no way will they grow next year I suspect most have died already put them in ASAP if you can some may perk up I think ie onions as they last so much longer out of the ground

Anemone can go in any time - especially if they are the de Caen variety. I plant them from Spring onwards as they bloom about three months later.

They definitely won't last until the autumn; try planting them in cheap plastic pots, label them and then you can see what grows and what doesn't, everything that does then can be planted out in to the garden and hopefully they should come up as normal next year...

I also chime in, get them in now. That will save what ever can be saved.
