    HI Mrs Chopper (again)

I am assuming that you can grow daffodils from the seed produced in the pods. Does anyone know how long it takes and whether the seed will produce new varieties or will it revert back to wild forms. Is it worth the effort and time just for the interest.

You can grow from seed but; although I've never done it, I believe it can take any where between 3 & 7 years before they reach a flowering sized bulb!!!

I grew some from seed years ago just to see if it can be done, and as others have said it did take a couple of years or more and then they were not as good as the original plants. All in all I decided not to try again.

I should get some nice new bulbs in the Autumn - seeds are far too much bother and take too long.
