    Hi everyone.

We've been away for Easter and had a wonderful week of Cornish heat wave!

I've got some lovely pics of Eden Project which I will post up soon.

My dad looked after my seedlings for me, and has weaved his green fingered magic. My petunias are flowering, and my cosmos is a foot high and budding!!

He said he has got to plant things out as everything's come on so much, so I just wondered if anyone else is taking the risk? We're in southern Hampshire.

I will leave my lobelia til end of may but I'm gonna have to plant out some things as they are enormous. :what:

    Hi Victoria,
I've only planted out Lupins so far, they seem to be holding there own in the chilly nights.
Everything else is hardening off on my patio at the moment, they've been out of the greenhouse a fortnight. As I'm in the north west and you are in the south I think you can probably take the risk as long as the plants have been hardened off. :)

Seems like full on high spring down here, the may blossom is out so i'm casting clouts & sticking most things out.

Been hardening things off first though. Had a pepper plant out for the last few days & nights. Lettuce & Mizuna have been in the ground for days & Dwarf French Beans have been out for 2 weeks now.

First flowers have come on the Mange Tout Peas in the past few days :dbgrtmb:

It's forecast to drop down to 2 degrees here tonight so I've just thrown a bit of fleece over some stuff; must admit as I was doing some watering just before dark it was pretty chilly.

I've got sweetcorn, beans, toms, cucumbers, peppers & pumpkin to go out yet; I keep thinking I'll do it tomorrow but I'm trying to hold off as long as I can; especially given this slightly cooler weather.

    Thanks chaps.

I asked the man who owns the nursery and he said cold won't hurt the plants, only frost.

I'm hardening things off now and will plant out at the weekend. The trouble is that things have come on so much that I will lose them anyway if they stay in pots much longer.

I reckon I could fleece my pots sufficiently enough if I go for it. Cosmos will be tricky though.
