                :D
I often feel the same way you do! This place is stuffed full of plantsmen and women of phenomenal skill and creativity.

There are people on this thread with literally decades of gardening experience! However you only get better by learning from people more experienced than you and by putting what you've learned into practice. Technical proficiency, the eye for colour and design will all come to you. Meanwhile you've got to be proud of what you are producing yourself because at its simplest, you're bringing life and beauty to your bit of the world.
And thats certainly nothing to be embarrassed about!

That is so true Melinda:) everyone has to start somewhere I've learnt so much by chatting to people on this site and others like it, always something new to learn, nothing more satisfying than seeing a plant flower for the first time that you've nurtured yourself or that first tomato yum yum,I'm sure I must drive my hubby mad when a seedling sprouts or a new flower opens, lol, he humours me though, in fact last year I even caught him watering my daylilies:yay: think I my get him into gardening yet, so come on Keinnaf lets see some of your photos:)

thanks Melinda, I am really enjoying seeing my garden come to life and know that the majority of it was my hard work. I especially like seeing the insects around, bumble bees, miner bees, stag beetles (we have quite a lot of those) and butterflies especially. my eldest daughter found a dragonfly on one of the flowers the other day.

I will try and post some pictures later but I can't seem to shrink them. anyone know how to make them smaller? I only have Paint and Picassa and can't find a way to do it in them
