plum tree help

    hello got a plum victora tree pixie
    i`m putting it in a large pot i was told it likes lime ?
    should i put all composs in pot or top soil and composs

    i have had 1 for 3 years now i have repotted it every year last year it flowered but the fruits died this year it is absolutely superb with hundreds of flowers that have all turned into small plums

    i am really please so far and all i have used is general compost from supermarket

    Probably best to use a JI compost that contains some soil.
    Its holds nutrients longer than multipurpose and does not break down in time in the same way.

    Also its heavier, so the pot would be more stable.

    I'd use JI no3 I think.
