Where do I go wrong with chillies. :help: They were practically the first seed I sowed when I got under way beginning of April, and no show at all .:fingerdrum: So I have resown them again and still reserved a few seeds just in case. :mad:I had the same trouble last year.:cry3:

Everything else is going well, I am potting on every day ,and really due to garden changes I will struggle to get them planted. :dunno:

    Chillies can be very temperamental.

I've not had much luck this year either - nor last year - and my five year old plants have all shuffled off this mortal coil and joined the choir invisible. They are no more. :cry3:

Hello Pam , I sowed my Chilis at the end of January . In a propagator at 30°c ( thats in the airing cupboard ) I presoaked the seeds and threw away the floaters - I cant find the link to that thread . The cherry bomb seeds gave 100% germination , the Jalapeno gave me two. Germination took from 8 to 15 days .All plants are still in the house and doing fine.

hi i agree chillies can be a bit awkward but are slow to germinate anyway give them time i planted scotch bonnet and cayenne and 100% came through, the scotch bonnet came from seed that i had saved only hoping that they produce okay.

I started them in the propagator, then it was the beginning of April and temperatures soared,:sunny:after 2 weeks I took them out the gator and left them on the staging as I was worried they might get cooked :D
