I persevered and found it amongst the non-sale stuff yesterday, less than £1 for 4 metres. I'm going to wrap it around the short legs on the large low sided boxes that I put trays full of stuff in to harden off (the solid sides + net curtains/newspaper protect fron wind/sun-scorch), old sheets thrown on top overnight protect from cold/frost and now I've got slug protection.

Slightly off-off topic, I now use clear pot trays (free used ones from B&Q) so I can see more easily if there's any slugs lurking underneath.

I love the Wilko sale - I always stock up with as much gear as I can (normally stays in the shed awaiting for a time and purpose).

Called in yesterday and along with their plant labels (some very nice ones too, slate, bamboo, etc), wire, string, etc being 25% off they have now got 50% off all their seed trays, gravel trays, peat pots and propergator lids. There own branded seeds are also 50% off now; they've been hanging around at full price for a while.

Picked up a metal arch yesterday for £2.98; it's not going to last a life time and I doubt it would support anything too heavy but at that price and with a bit of DIY strengthing I should get a good few years out of it and I have plenty of young climbing plants that need something to climb :thumb:

        Wilko's dead plants

In Weymouth, no one seems to look after the plants, which are always dead or dying. If there was a version of the NSPCC I would join it.

Went to BM's the other day.
They had bulbs on sale for 50p.

Packs of 3 types (Gladioli, Liatra, Anamone) (Gladioli, Allium, Freesia). 75 bulbs in each pack - packaged seperately though to help.
        Packs of Lupins (6)

There were others but enough was enough. £1.50 for 156 plants - if the all take.

        Seems like a good deal:dbgrtmb:

I know this is a daft questio but is Wilko's just a shortened version of Wilkinson's
          Sally?

Fungicides & Pesticides now 50% off. weedkillers still full price.
Pots and garden string now 75% off - bought enough for the next few years (hope the mice don't find it). Also bought some 20m rolls of galavanised wire with 75% off that I use to support the top of rabbit fencing.

Walk in mini greenhouses complete with staging now reduced to half price so only £12.50. These are 1430 x 730 x 1950mm high and have the green mesh reinforced plastic cover.

If not in store, you can order online at the same reduced price to collect instore Mini Greenhouse

EDIT: Might be worth having a look around online for any other reduced stuff that's either sold out instore, or is only available in larger stores than the one you use so only available to order online & collect instore.

That's amazing, one would have thought that the discount was just to clear shop space.

ps - Bought a pair of gardening gloves for herself - 24p - so that's Christmas sorted !!

Wilkos garden forks (not stainless) now reduced to £1.50 in store.

These are the smaller than standard 'digging fork', what used to be called 'ladies forks' and now described as border forks or apprentice fork (so Mrs Scrungee can dig up the spuds next year).
