The eden project

I hope i have put this in the right place:fingerdrum:, Any of you people visited the eden project, I would love to have a look about in there' It looks very interesting on the telly, How much is it to get in there for a look about aswell,

I'm heading to the south-west at the end of June and intend visiting the Eden Project. The tickets, if I remember rightly are £17.50. I've been told to pre-order mine on-line as the queues to get in can be long.

 

Im planning to go there in August as I booked a holiday in Cornwall, if you go before me please post your feedback.

The eden project looks a great place to visit especially now that iam into gardening and it's only £17.50 to get in there' sounds good , I just wish it were a bit closer to home ,

I would love to visit but its a bit of a drive from York.
I guess a holiday is needed in that part of the world.

 

Not been to the Eden Project, but Heligan is well worth a visit, Capney, you would not regret taking a holiday in Cornwall.

 

The Eden Project is truly fantastic. Everything you've seen on telly about it will just mean nothing once you've been. When you go, I recommend you buy the book (the official Eden project book), because it tells you all about the stuff they do in other parts of the world, and how Eden came into being, and lots of other interesting stuff. No point reading the book before you go, because it wont mean much til you've seen it.

Make sure you allow yourself plenty of time. It will keep you engrossed for a full day easily. Its not just about the biomes that get all the publicity, the biomes are only a small (but amazing) part of the project.

If you're going down that way for a few days or so, I'd recommend you get the Eden trip in quite early, because you might want to go back for a second look during your stay.

When you buy your tickets, tick the Gift Aid box. The tickets are still the same price to you, but they get some tax relief on it of some sort, and they reward you buy giving you a one year pass for the price of a one day ticket.

Been to Heligan too. Its another brilliant one. Another full day job too really. The jungle garden down the valley is like another world.

I will admit that the Eden Project is very interesting but I found it sooooo crowded that I was looking out for other people rather than enjoying it and getting very irritated in the process. I'd like to go again if it weren't crowded to have a proper look around and see how it's changed since I was there, which was years ago. Heligan on the other hand was BRILLIANT! I would definitely visit there again!

 

I ordered my tickets on-line last night. The price has gone up to £18.00 per person. It was fairly straightforward, but you will need to print the tickets off and there's a follow up e-mail if you haven't got a printer.

 

Eden Project is good although a bit pricey, however it is included in the 2 for 1 card thats free in the current Gardeners World Mag - so at £3 odd for the magazine you will more than make your money back. Loads of other gardens also included

 

If you can get there on a week day, especially if you can get there as its opening, its well worth it. Plenty of room and loads of interesting plants in the warm biomes. Yes, it is £18, but you get free entry after that for a year.
My younger brother went with his school, and a friend walked away with 2 large cocoa pods, so if your good with cuttings, its defiantly worth it! Lots of plants I've never seen in the nurseries.

 

The eden project looks the place i want to visit this year and at £18 or so to get in' That's not too bad especially iff it will take up most of the day looking about at all those interesting plants, That's what you call them round things' Biomes, Thanks bodandirus ,

I took several hundred pictures when I went to the eden project, it was fabulous. Loved it! But wish I could remember the names of half the things I saw, my advise : take a notepad
