Hi people, im re-doing my garden for the summer and have to get rid of some bushes first. But as i have no idea about plants or bushes etc i dont know what the bushes that i have already are called, and ive got someone willing to buy them but i dont really know the value.

So i was wondering if someone with a little more knowledge would be willing t help me out, i would be extremely grateful.

    Thanks in advance :)

As these will be dug out of the ground in April and will come with a limited root ball, trying to re-establish them will be a bit hit and miss.
Open ground plants are normally sold from Nov to Oct..

Digging the plants out will be difficult without damaging the fencing or paving

The more they pay the more care I would take in getting them out.

If I was buying I wouldn't pay anything but just take them of your hands so you dont have the bother of disposal

    I agree.

I dont see anything which is not freely available, and pot grown.

As pot grown plants are a much better bet at this time of the year I would go down that road if I wanted a particular plant.

So my personal thoughts are, give them away, dont sell them, you will only feel bad if they die on the new owners.

I agree with hbc and Pete. During the three years I've had my current garden, I've dug out every single shrub that was here when I came. Some I disposed of but others I moved when they were dormant. The bigger they were, the slower they took to recover. "Hit and miss" sums it up exactly so IMHO, I wouldn't know how to set a fair price.
