cherries

    We got some cherries from local farm today. and my son as asked me if i can plant some of the pits. would it work or would it be a none fruit bearing tree.

    Yes it would work. It would take a long time, soak the seeds in water for 14 hours.

    Were they sweet or sour cherries?

    Because I thought the rule of thumb was that sour cherries were generally self pollinating and most likely to be true to form, but virtually all sweet cherries required a polinator so they, after a very long wait for fruit, wouldn't come true.
