. . . just to say hello to everyone. I live in the North of England and took over a house with a garden full of 10ft brambles last autumn. The surprising thing has been that underneath all the rubble and weeds there was what was obviously a nice garden once upon a time. It's slow work but we are getting there. Tread lightly, Ellie.
Morning Ellie...I moved to a place with a similar garden just before Christmas! Now that the brambles are being removed, I have found a sea of ground elder and wild garlic beneath! Welcome to Gardeners corner.
hi and welcome all your work will pay off take loads of photos of your progress to look back on ,and to give us a peek
Hi Ellie, I have aviaries with a lot of expensive birds.Nowadays it's wise to take precautions against thieves...my birds are close to the house and my security is tight. It would take some getting to my birds as neighbours gardens are well protected...we all have decent rear gates making the area difficult to enter. The bottom of the garden is overun with ancient brambles all along the fencing and I have no intention of cutting them back... they're better than razor wire, and God help the villain that tries to climb over... And you never know I might get some free blackberries...:thumb:
Ellie.. Good Luck with that garden stick with it & you will create your own little haven... Look forward to seeing you around the forums..
Hi Ellie I'm also from the North of England! It's great to get a new garden to design and plant from scratch. Good luck and enjoy,
