My vine in my poly tunnel was coming along fantatically with many little bunches of embryo grapes forming, but within the last week all the little grapes have dissapeared, I do not know if they are being eaten by something or just failing, I am just left with bunches of little stalks now. Anybody got any idea what is causing this? I have looked up many websites and books but no explanation..... thanks

Hi, did you actually have small grapes form?

Reason I ask is because I'm just wondering if they got pollinated.

    A picture would help.:)

Yes, there appeared to be bunches with tiny little grapes on them, I think now that they are just falling off the vine, I don't think it is insects, I only have one grape vine and it's my first year trying them,

I dont think its insects either, but I cant think what would make them fall off, I've never seen it happen.

    Is the vine newly planted?

If so, is it short of water?

Hi Buzzbee. If those little grapes are falling off can you see them on the ground ?
If you can't see them on the ground I don't think they are falling off - more likely they are being eaten.
I don't think it would be insects, more likely it would be mice.
If it is mice you should see the mouse droppings on the ground - like dark grass seed.
I think maybe you have to have a good look round your grapevine for clues, see what you see, and come back with that info.

Yea, but do not think it is mice, as the grapes up high on the vine disappeared first, there are still some bunches intact at the bottom of the vine.... thanks
