On Location

    Just found some old pics of one of my courses at the Weald & Downland Museum, a place, where many of you will know, where Timber Framed Building under threat are taken and re assembled.

      Thats only a few of them Ruth, the site covers acres of Chalk Downland.

      Didn't get much chance for pics on account of being in a study group:cry3:

      Unwittingly, some of the ritual protection marks were brought to site with the buildings. There are symbols of protection against witch craft & secret Catholic signs, "VVM" for Mary Virgin of Virgins, "AM" = Ave Maria.

      I've not been there, but I have been to a similar place in Denmark, although I can't remember where.

      They keep it alive too Sheal, one of the Tudor houses has period cooking, rush lighting and a smoking bay so you really get the feel of life then (without the smallpox of course)
