Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm looking at doing something to my garden (1st house) to make it look more presentable. I should really mention I have little.no experience, but I'm willing to learn and am quite handy.

Anyway, it has a little bit of raised land, with some dead looking grass in it, I wanted the have the raised land go all the way across the garden, with steps going up and then possibly have decking all the way across it.

How would I raise the land to right of it? Or anyone got any other ideas for a simple renovation? Picture below:

    Thanks

Updated the link, and the title should read 'raising land'.

For some reason I can't edit it :dunno:

    Hopefully that helps!

I've never done decking before, but If I were you, I'd do it to the height of what the grass is now, so you'd just need to raise the area which currently has flags on, which wouldn't be too hard to do.

Just lay some thick timbers on their side across and join them all together, and once you've done this, you should be able to put your decking over your grass/the timber, but I'd probably want to make sure the soil hasn't got any weeds in it, and it's all turned over.. or maybe think about adding some fabric underlay to make sure.

Click on 'Edit' at the bottom of your first post, then select 'Go Advanced' at the bottom of the edit screen to be able to edit the thread tile above.

This may not change the post title displayed on the lists of posts for 'Garden Projects', but at least it should display properly on the posts themselves.
