    any first aiders out there?

i am so happy and enjoying a sense of relief in passing the requallification exam with St John ambulance today. gardening and agrigulture can be so dangerous. as indeed can everyday life.

yay! im qualified for yet another 3 years, lets hope that i never need to use it.

Congratulations Herbi. And yes, the world needs First Aiders.
I don't have the qualification as I have a nursing qualification but it is a different skill.
When my daughter was a student at university she did the St Johns Ambulance First Aid course. As I remember it she was much more thrilled to pass that than she was with her degree.

      well done Herbi!

I did a course this year too - the three day one and I passed too. I was 'nominated' to go cos I do the lottie inspections as part of my job. I thoroughly enjoyed the course. As you did the refresher you must have qualified previously - well done for keeping it up to date!

      Congrats

Well done, Herbi:thumbsup: My wife was an Instructor for St John's Ambulance and used to tell some funny stories about the courses and people on it.:D

Well done Herbi. I re-qualified a couple of months ago at my work place. Having had a few 'misshaps' myself I thought it's a useful skill to have out in the garden or when doing DIY. :dbgrtmb:

Does it prevent you from going into sheer panic when an incident occurs? :OUCH:

My daughter got hers at 13 and I hope she keeps re-newing it.

My father told me when he did his, some one got the artificial respiration/'kiss of life' wrong and actually started deflating the dummy, giving it the kiss of death instead.
