If you come from Suffolk you get used to it as you travel around; "Are you from Australia?" is a question we are frequently asked, especially by them oop north.
Still, at least it makes it easy to understand what they're talking about on Neighbours.

I have lived all over the place (UK) but I can not shake my Chester accent! Sort of a soft scouse and when I meet people from cheshire they spot me a mile off!

We live in South West now but my little lad has picked my accent up and he says circle and purple with a nice scouse twang! (as in pearpull!)
