I have just recently been informed by peterS on this forum about Perennials plants. I'm a lover of lillys and have a few big pots of them in the garden. I was just told about the hemerocallis (day Lilly). Are these easy to get hold of, and is there any more flowers of this breed?

You bet. There are massive numbers of them and enthusiastic hemerocallis societies in various parts of the world. You can probably buy a selection in most nurseries. try googling them.

They are nice perennials but not a patch on the perfumed glamour of the Lilium family, in my opinion.

OH, yes, big YES. I just got through looking at pics from another garden forum, he collects them and pollinates to make differnt ones. The pictures of his collection is extensive, about 30 types. All so beautiful.
There is even a day lilly auction I hear goes on. There are even prize winning species etc. Its a whole other world out there.

Hi Dubman, Simbad and Spruce are two gardeners who are both bonkers and knowledgeable about Day Lilies and have fantastic collections. No doubt Spruce will be along to chat about them.:D
