    Hi Leafos,

    That looks like a cherry alright, good move to show the trunk too, that helps.

    What will happen next is, just as they ripen, the blackbird will eat the lot:DOH:

    :heehee: yeah they do seem to be enjoying them - but I will keep an eye out for ripe ones and pick them, if they're safe for human consumption too. I don't know why I never thought about eating them before.

    ...my dog seems to love them too, he keeps munching them off the grass as the birds knock them down. We keep trying to get them off him but end up chasing him around the garden

      As Dai says - Stella cherries. Deffo.
      I took our tree down last year as it was getting too big for where it was and we always missed the cherries as we are away on holiday just when they come ready

      BTW - Your's looks like a nice healthy tree!

        Oh one more question - I spotted blackfly on it today - as long as I wash them thoroughly are the fruit still safe?

        Edit: at least lots of small black bugs - I assume blackfly loll

        Blackfly is a real pest on cherries but the fruit is quite safe even if you don't wash it.
