Howard, with all those diggers etc you have, your motto shoud be; ""MORE POWER!""

Just like Tim in the Tv programme about DIY in America!

    Hi Howard
Just to say how impressed I am with your water feature :thmb: stunning stuff. Your weather does sound inhospitable so I can only suggest grasses - if you check out prairie planting stuff, you're sure to find something of interest. It would be quicker than planting a windbreak of trees and then herbaceous borders :D

PS: Wonderful boaty pics from Kindredspirit, just wonderful :)

Had a nice weekend and no water in the ditch, so I started my waterfall.

You can't see whats happening yet but I'm weaving the water about, hopefully it will
lose it's power in the boulders

My constant companion, he has claimed the lawn as his territory.!

There are 6 males share out my 3 acres, cheaper to keep than Peacocks, are just as coulourful
and are quite comical to watch.

:thumb: Always busy then Howard, will the waterfall be ok if there is soil like that between the boulders.? I don't know as I haven't built a waterfall, but I am wondering, wont that wash away too.? Always nice to have a companion or two with you... :hehe: He is a beauty though Howard.. Do you like Pheasant then..??:wink:

The Pheasants are like pets to us.
They wait for breakfast ( peanuts). Then when they see us motoring up the drive in the evening they scurry after us for their tea. They know our routine so well.
In the past my granite has "settled" and locked together in time when the earth between is eroded.
Then these gaps fill with sand and fine grit.
Hopefully this will happen in the "waterfall"
Just so long as there are no great deluges before it's finished.
