MY Japanese plant whose name I can't remember but which sounds something like koh-no-may (!)

has developed brown and brttle leaves in some parts. Is this underwatering or is it a sign of something more serious? I do hope someone can help as I love this plant. The top pic bottom right shows these leaves best.

    many thanks in advance

    Len

    Hoping that someone can help!serious?

Looks like Prunus kojo no mai; the leaf damage could just be wind/sun damage (especially as we've had a lot of cool winds this year). Nothing too serious if that's the case, just cosmetic; continue to water and feed and it'll be fine :thumb:

Bilbo is 100% correct, I grow this, same thing happens with mine nearly every year.

So: wind, too dry, to sunny, just keep waterd I think the roots on this are very shallow which doesnt help
