Not seen a thread on this topic before, so thought I'd make one!

Having been born minutes from Old Trafford, I'm a Manchester United fan

I always cheer for England(and Germany) when they are playing an international tournament, and in sports stores here, all you see is Manchester United, so i guess i would cheer for them.

Newport County, because I was born and bred in Newport. Cardiff City, because one of my clients is their historian/archivist. Merthyr Tydfil, because, like Newport they fought, and beat, the FAW. Swansea, because of their promotion and, finally, Wrexham, because they are Welsh.:dbgrtmb:

      Dangerous subject

I do not support any team, I follow my home team Sunderland

I follow England in International matches and if they are out Then I follow any other British team, Unlike my Scottish neighbours who when Scotland are out follow any team OTHER than England

I do not support any team in particular and I don't follow football at all.

During the world cup though I do watch the odd game here and there and I have a little grin if Italy wins but that is all.

On the other hands in Italy there are many fanatics. In Torino you would find many people which used to take small radios with them, (now probably replaced by some other device) and listen to the radio just everywhere the commentaries of the game on the weekend.

If you go to a cafe (even the most elegant, and we have a few...) at the weekend you are guaranteed to hear talking about football and politics. (there is always a lot to talk about...)

I support my home team Wigan Athletic , and of course England. So I do not have much fun watching football ! In fact my nieces who live in Cobham - i.e Chelsea FC land , thought the actual name for Wigan was "Wigan Athletic Nil ":D
