    HI All
Has anyone else suffered this year with the birds eating the petals of miniature daffys,
I am very loathe to pick them as i like to see them in the garden but if i leave them the birds pick the petals off and they are spoilt anyway.

I've grown the dwarf daf "Jumbly" for some years now and it's very vigorous and reliable. I've never had any problems with birds attacking them even though the pigeons around here are voracious while the blackbirds and sparrows will attack anything just for the hell of it. Or so it seems.

No damage to daffs but one of my clients is always complaining about sparrows pulling the petals off her primroses. She thinks they do it just for fun but i guess they're just trying to get to bugs in the flowers.

I've heard of pheasants eating primula flower heads!

I've never had a problem with the birds attacking daffs but the sparrows rip the peas and sweet peas apart and squirrels seem to be very fond of yellow roses.
