BBC Three is a waste of tax payers money. Even though I am in the age bracket I won't be applying. Gardening being competitive is just daft.

        Back story

After been orphaned at an early age, you were adopted by wicked parents
If you did not grow your own you did not eat simple as that

You found a RHS Enclyclopedia in a Barnardo's skip, along with a rusty seaside bucket and spade
Your wicked Adoptive parents lied and kept all the produce, so you had to watch the BBC NIGHT GARDEN
Igglepiggle whee ooo collected rocks and you made a magnificent rock garden, selling the products on at the BBC antiques road shows

After many years of toil, you had saved enough not only to buy expensive Icecreams but Princes Eugines wedding hat off ebay for £82k
BBC - CBeebies - Mr Bloom's Nursery Compost Song

Jack please note, my rapturous applause does not entitle you to a share of any future winnings!

And Im letting you know in advance that any similarity between your tragic tale here and the one I'll tell on screen will be purely co-incidental! :D

I realise I am always the bridesmaid never the bride
          So you go for it
I am sure once you win Gold at the Chelsea flower show you will throw me a £12.50 holiday irrigation kit as you pass buy in your 4x4 hummer

          I am humbled

Well Jane .. it takes all sorts
Without those who love competition we would have no Chelsea, Tatton Park, etc and life would become boring :)
And surely, BBC3 adds a little more variety to life?

If it encourages a few more young gardeners I'm all for it :)
