sprouts?

    I planted sprouts here about 4weeks ago not sure if these r sprout plants or weeds lol! any idea? thanks

    Looks like sprout plant, you have a smaller plant next to it which is probably a small sprout but latter to germinate.

    Yes it's certainly a brassica, it's quite difficult to tell the difference between cabbages, sprouts, brocolli at that stage. Did you sow seed rather than plant young seedlings?

    Well it's not really an instant thing. With sprouts it will take a day or two for the seedling to emerge from the seed casing, sometimes you can see the remains of the seed casing as it gets caught on the first leaves. Hope that makes sense. If you are interested there will be time lapse movies on YouTube of seed germinating, which will be fascinating if you've never seen it before.

      Watch out for those white butterflies as they will lay eggs on your sprouts and the caterpillars will chomp them up!!! Google cabbage white butterfly.

        Take a look at his garden WOW

        Long time gardening just look at his age
        and on his website garden that lawn was planted ONE BLADE at a time, must have taken years
