Hello, living in rented accomodation and the outside passageway between the house and the outside loo/workshop is open. Its concrete floor and at some point someone put an access ramp up and down from the door.

Just started tenancy 2 months ago, landlord is okay about the big things but i can't see him putting a gate in for us, the gate would also have to not disturb the ramp.

We would like something there to deter people, if we were a wheelie bin area i would be happy with that there. It would also be nice to feel a little more private.

I am thinking about getting a long planter and bedding bamboo canes in that so that they cross each other and form a lattice. I know that would only be light but it would block off the passage simply.

The passageway is in shade most of the day so don't think i can grow anything there.

Money is tight so any ideas that are inexpensive will be thought about. Want to have something in place in a few months times, when we start to use the garden more for eating and the like.
