My entire tomato patch has become riddled within the last week  the thing that makes me most angry about blight is that it always strikes just as you can see all your hard work coming to something. Our tomato harvest was looking to be our best ever this year but not so now :gaagh:

My sympathies there, I was wiped out by it last year. Been spraying fortnightly with Bordeaux mixture this year & despite several blight warnings for both areas, so far so good.

    Hi D&D.

My sympathies also. Since I got back into gardening just over three years ago, every year I've lost my outdoor toms to blight. This year, like Ziggy, I'm trying the Bordeaux Mixture, fingers crossed. I don't know if it's just my perception, but it seems like blight is a LOT more common these days ?

    Cheers...Freddy.

Thanks guys. I have tried to tell non gardening types how sad I am about it but am met with puzzled looks :) I have had it here before but it was right at the tail end of the season and came on slowly so I managed to get most of my tomatoes ripened before it took hold. This year it has laid siege within a couple of days and taken everything :(

I have numerous other veggies to console me but I was particularly proud of the tommies this year :cry3:
