          Very very nice Shiney. :)

My current is taking place quiet nicely, and I have spent the last two days working out and constructing two barn hip ends for it :)

Ziggy, I have just ordered up another woodwork book. :) Ive just finished reading 'Last Of Ten Ten Fighter Boys' and there was a mention by the auther Jimmy Corbin of a woodwork book titled Creative Woodwork For Students & Teachers by James, W. T. & Dixon. I managed to find a a copy dated 1940 for £7.40 including P&P. I can't wait. :)

Its nice to look forward to a new book, even if its stuff you know. My attention is always grabbed by stuff like that.

There are loads of timber houses in Essex Ziggy and lots of them have thatched roofs as well. I was working on a property like this about 5 weeks ago. They are very popular in the marsh lands between the Thames and the Stour and the one where I was working was over 200 years old.

I used to go rock/surf fishing very often in a place called Cape Vidal in South Africa ... excellent fishing .... miles away from everywhere ... (nearest shop was 30km away on a sand road) ....

there were a few log cabins (think there were 12) situated in a camp far apart and in a pine tree forest meters away from a remote beach

I used to go there at least 3 times a year .... the log cabins were very well constructed and had all the mod cons .... I would happily pay for one of these cabins and had cape vidal been on 'timeshare', I would not have hesitated in buying a few weeks a year

herewith a pic of one of the cabins ... this one is a smaller one and is a 2 bedroom/open plan kitchen adjoining a dining room /bathroom/lounge

edit: my wife has just seen the photo and is all exicted as she thinks I am planning to surprise her with a holiday to cape vidal ... this was one of her favourite spots, as a week there feels like a month ... you totally relax/unwind
