so thats my set up now all i need to know is what to plant at what time, i want to start everything from seed, veg fruit flowers plants. the only thing im not intrested in is trees, they take too long to grow and produce fruit to eat.

so when to grow in what month?

also the heater you see in the picture how does this work and when do i turn it on?

So glad you've posted this as I was just about to! My greenhouse has just been re-sited (its a few years old but in decent condition) and I'm starting from scratch too. I need as much help as I can get :help:

      That looks great Jamie:dbgrtmb:

I'm only amature when it comes to greenhouse growing so i'll leave it to the others to advise on what to start with.

Can I suggest your doing this the wrong way round.:WINK1:

You decide what you like, and what you want to grow, and you then find out how you go about it.
Its an ongoing thing, you learn a bit year by year as you go.

I suggest you make list of what you want to grow and then ask when to sow, plant etc.one at a time, it makes it much easier for all concerned.

Plant growing and gardening in general is not an exact science, we all do it differently.

I agree, grow what you like, not what you think you should grow. Jay, may I ask, how is the greenhouse fixed to the patio?

daitheplant the greenhouse isnt fixed to the patio at all but is sitting flush with the floor due to the weight of the greenhouse. and the floor is dead even all over as i did all that myself. would you advise i bolt it down?

It looks very good Jamie. I would try and get some spikes into the ground around the frame, maybe between the flagstones if at all possible - or bolt it down if you are able to drill them.

Jack is right, if it's not anchored down you could lose it in a high wind.

Agreed :yess:. You may think that the weight of the greenhouse is sufficient but it's amazing what the wind can do. So it's best to take precautions and bolt it down. Have a read of this
