I thought I would introduce myself - I've been a lurker on here for a number of months now.

My Grandad passed away last year and I moved into his house just after Christmas. He had a huge garden which was 80% veg and we both spent many hours in there growing a wide variety of things. Over the last couple of months I've been completely blitzing the garden which was an overgrown mess of weeds and unclipped bushes - and today have laid the last piece of turf.

I have made a raised bed out of railway sleepers for veg to honour the happy times we spent in there, the rest is grass and more beds for flowers and shrubs. I've also kept his apply trees which are covered in fruit at the moment.

I'll post some photos when the turf looks a little less "artificial", in the meantime I hope to enjoy used this website and getting to know everyone :)

    Simon
