We have a bay tree which has some of the leaves curled up on one side and going yellow.
uncurling the leaves exposes some sort of eggs surrounded by a sticky mildewy substance.

Can anyone shed light on whatever is going on here ?

The leaves I upload have had the good sides cut away so the infection can be seen clearly

        Hi Amanita,

Hard to see from the pic, but it could very well be tortrix moth's that are causing this damage. They have a wide host range, but can often be seen on bay trees. A curling of the leaf held together by silken webbing is their calling card!!
