my sound won't work now

    Hi All,

    I am hoping someone can help me.

    I am totally noobish about pcs, I have a lap top which got a virus and my brother came round and reinstalled windows xp. Great, everything works except my sound. I have installed l realtek AC97 but it is saying it cannot work code 10. Obviously I need someone to tell me where to download the necessaries.

    I have an old laptop, (don't laugh) Samsung P28, I have no idea what to do and am wary of websites since my virus crashed it.

    Any help??

    Yes, that is what it says.

    Don't know what it is, but something about pcs and laptops always manage to make me feel like a berk lol.
