My cauli's have plenty of leaves but no sign of a heart. I am in Glasgow so more difficult up here. Shorter days and less heat.
Is it too late now for them to develop
    Thanks Jean

Jean, gently delve into the central leaves and see if the heart is forming. If it is, leave them be for now and be patient.

    Hi Jean.

As far as I know, Cauli's are notoriously difficult to grow successfully. I know very little about growing these, but I'd say it's worth following Dai's advice, and give them time. BTW, you can always use the leaves as 'greens' :)

    Cheers...Freddy.

Jean, Iam also from glasgow i managed to get 2 cauliflowers this year.(snowballs). They grew very slowly for a long time then burst into life,as with previous advice check right into the heart, also check your seed packet to see if it is a summer variety and not an autumn or winter variety

Thanks everyone I will check in the morning.
I suspect it is the weather. We had a lovely few weeks when things sprang to life, but now, as you will well know Neil, it has gone quite cold again. I must check the variety also

I have just looked down in the centre leaves and guess what I have one heart the size of a golf ball. Hopefully it will grove a bit and its a good omen for the others. Patience is a virtue so they say. Thanks Jean
