    There is a house in the next road to us that has this plant in the front garden and I love it, just no idea what it is, it's characteristcs are this;

    - It's either perennial or small shrub as its been there for the last 4 years.

    - The flower's are pink and white (one half white the other half pink), they're not round with 'x' amount of petals they are more like a balsam/lobeliia arrangement if that makes sense??

    - The leaves are small and oval and the whole thing is very dainty, with a sort of willowly habit.

    - The leaves are also strongly scented when crushed, can't quite put my finger on it, could be slightly minty along with something else?

    - The plant is currently about 3-4ft in height and spread.

    - And has been flowering for a number of weeks.

    Sorry there's no picture, I do intend to go and ask for cutting material when I see someone at the house in passing :D

    I know it's a long shot, but any ideas?

    Thanks :thumb:

      I know, thanks guys, I think I will go and knock on the door and ask though rather than just get caught taking a pic of someone's front garden lol :D

      My pleasure, I don't often get one right, but I do have one of these and it's a lovely plant.

        Well I was passing the said house today and knocked on the door; explained that I love the plant in question; her reply; after being told where she got it from and how much it cost :D, "was take some with you if you like", at which point she started snapping pieces off between 6" & 12" in length :shocked:, "just stick them in a pot or in the ground and they'll root, that's what I do", who was I to doubt what she was saying she showed about 6 in pots down the side of her house that she'd rooted for friends and family. Maybe sometimes you just have to not over complicate things and forget everything you know is right and throw the rule book out of the window :D :thumb:

        Anyways I got back and cut them up properly; as you do (I just couldn't stick them in pots as she suggested) and made about 12 decent cuttings :D...fingers crossed :thumb:
