Fast growing trees?

Hi all, new to the forum so be gentle. Can anyone tell me what the quickest growing uk trees are and preferably the cheapest?, thanks in advance.

 

Willow, put some prunings in the ground, right now, and a good 75% will root.

 

buddleia is fast growing, will fill up space and comes in lots of different varieties.

Leyland Cyprus will put on about 2' or 3' a year and you'll not get much faster than that apart from Willow as Pete suggests. You really need to say where and why you want a fast growing tree as there are so many different options depending on your specific situation - do you want a single tree or a trees for a privacy boundary?
