I bought a fuschia whip yesterday, it seemed great value for money, but now I have it home... what do I do with it??!

It's hardy, but I am confused as to why it is a straight tall plant (1ft) . I have lots of other fuschias but they are encouraged to bush.

I have grown thousands of Fuchsias and have never heard of a Fuchsia whip. Someone has just cut a stem from a plant and sold it to you. Any chance of a pic?

yes fuscia standars are great fun and unlike other shrubier standarsd you get good results in one season. You dont see fuschia whips sold often but they are still availble (as you know victoria) Its just a case of taking the usuall tip cutting and not taking out the growing point, allow it to grow straight up a cane taking out side shoots and theres your whip. Its not too late to start the whole thing from scratch, but as you found a whip you have a head start ..have fun.
