Saw an iridium flare while fishing one night, scared the willeys out of me till I realised what it was, that was about half the size of the moon.

Did wake up around 3am, but total cloud cover here. Will give it another go this morning.

The conspiracy websites recon its an alien spaceship on its way to us.

It also takes up as much of the night sky as the full moon  And if I remember (No I wasn't around then), it was as bright as the Sun causing widespread panic in China! Daylight 24h a day, and 2 Suns during the day!!!

I've also seen planes at night, that look stationary due to the fact they're flying straight towards you, making the headlight look like a star or UFO...

And if the aliens do come, tinfoil on my head, and I wont be like Cartman in Southpark series 1, episode 1 ..... "no probes please, we're British" lol

We get the plane headlights charging at us along the chesil beach from Exeter Airport, disturbing until you suss it out.

I'm going to use copper foil on my head, so they can't hear my thoughts.

add a few sun CME's happening right now, world stockmarkets in freefall, Greece to possibly default ... Syria in a state of emergency ... strong winds on monday .... all makes for 'interesting' times ahead

oh well, at least there's the world cup rugby to look forward to

            Hi Kandy,

Good spot, we already have a thread running about this in the Events Forum, so i'll merge the 2 if thats ok.

We have been lobbing celestial stuff in there before, upcoming meteor showers, Extinction Level Events & so on. Been a bit lax this year & forgot to flag the Persied Meteors:DOH:
