Really good to see the garden change. That looks like a lot of work went into it. It looks very nice now. Wish i had taken photos before tackling my back yard but compared to yours it was an easy job.

Just a general comment regarding post and panel fences, though I see it doesn't apply here at present.
The panels are nowhere near as durable as the posts.

If contemplating planting climbers it's best to drill the posts and stretch wire between rawl plugged hooks on which to attach your climbers.
This will mean if ten years down the line any panels need replacing, they can be slid out/in easily without much disturbance to your displays.
Also, if some very bushy shrubs are attached to the actual wooden panels, high winds can sometimes drag the panels, or parts of them, out.

It's best to have an arrangement with "them next door" that they do the same.

 

Thought it was about time to update this thread a little as everything seems to have just about tripled in size since I last put a post up. Got loads of veggies growin in my raised bed now, fruit on the nectarine and apple tree and 3 tubs of potatoes which are growing very well.

I only joined this forum yesterday, having bought my first house with a garden recently.
You had a much bigger job judging by the state of your back garden when you moved in so your pictures serve as real encouragement and make me think that I'll be able to get something half decent too with a bit of hard work and a couple of years.:ntwrth:
