Common Orb spider Weaver (photo's)

    Hi all I thought it would be intresting to see what unusual colored Orb Spiders you have in the garden and you could post a photo on here.

    I think I have a realy unusual light yellow one in the greenhouse, waiting for it to build its thread but this one doesnt like to sit in the middle of its web ??sits under a dried leaf !!! so I will try my best to get a photo

    its gone walkabout , I know its in the greenhouse saw it sitting on the bubble wrap and I thought at the time "now that woudnt make a good photo" its huge so I dont know if its about to lay eggs ??? I will have to look up info about them but the other 4 are making webs everyday typical.

    I will keep a eye out over the weekend hopfully the toad hasnt had it !!!

    Sorry BG just been in the greenhose past hour checking all my daylilys , and its not to be found the others are still sitting on the midle of thread but just dont look as good.

    I will check again later .

      Only just spotted this thread. I love the orb spiders... I look forward to seeing them arrive every year but its been a bit quiet this year. I did post a picture of one in the enhanced photo comp this month.

      But this one is living in my front yard, I love this picture as she is holding her thread so delicately.
