    Good morning everyone,

It is dry and a bit breezy today but it looks as though the sun is going to come out and play soon :sunny:

We had a resounding win yesterday :yess: :happydance:

I'm feeling very poorly this morning after fighting hard to get through yesterday in one piece. I have a bad head, sore throat, swollen tongue, bad neck ache, very congested and raw chest, a pulled muscle in my ribs from coughing and feeling pretty wobbly - but apart from that, I feel fine :heehee:. I think Mrs shiney wants to swap me for a newer model! :loll:

I've got an important meeting to go to this afternoon in preparation for the tournament I'm organising on Sunday. I hope I'll feel better by then :(

Kandy, thank Mr K for his good wishes :dbgrtmb:. I don't do snow clearing :D. On our driveway it is safer for walking if we leave the snow there. Being made of, worn, tarmac it's not possible to sweep all the snow off it and, if we try, we leave a very thin film of ice. If the snow is too deep for driving the road will be impassible as well.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Yesterday was another sunny, warm day :sunny:

I've had a bit of a bad night but have been wandering through GC since 4 a.m. and I'm feeling quite a bit better - the painkillers have helped as well :heehee:. I'll take it easy this morning as I have a bridge club to run this afternoon and a match this evening.

I expect to feel enough better by tomorrow to get some mowing done :dbgrtmb:. I also want to clear out all the runner beans and courgettes etc which will take a few hours. Then there is the long job of hedge cutting and tree shaping to do.

I hope the weather stays good for all of you.

    Have a great day :D

    Morning everyone :)

It's very mild here too Shiney, the media coverage says a cold weekend etc but on every Met site i look at the predictions are completely the opposite, i think they (the media) see that it'll be cold in one part of the country (usually furthest northerly spot) and run with the ball .... it does make me angry.
Less is more media, less is more :gaagh:

I've a later start, to work, today so am having a slow start :D
Time to amble around here now

    Good morning everyone,

Mild but not very bright out there.

I managed to sell all the pears and have a good afternoon of bridge . In the evening I went and played bridge as a reserve for a friend's team and helped them win :) but half way through the evening I started feeling a bit rough. By the time I drove the 20 miles home I wasn't in the best of moods and and then Oscar was sitting on the doorstep waiting for me. A bit of a cuddle from him helped a lot :kittykiss:

Unfortunately I had a very bad night (coughing, being sick etc) and although I am now feeling quite a bit better I have a stinking headache. Moan over :heehee:

I'm too busy today to laze around much as I have a couple of reports to write this morning, a meeting this afternoon at the town hall in a town near here and running a charity event tonight.

The sun is trying to come out :sunny:

Keep well and have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Haven't got much time to be on here at the moment as I am trying to get things done on the allotment before the winter sets in,fruit and veggies harvested and prepared for strorage plus the house, gardens, and greenhouse need sorting out before this cold weather hits us.:DMr K has loads of work on at the moment due to staff shortages so he is off out early in the mornings and back a bit later at night so I am holding the fort together at the moment so to speak:D

Will try and get back on here as and when i can so will answer any mail when I get the chance:)

    Shiney dear you do sound rough and hope that with time you will start to feel better soon and back to your old self{whatever that is:D}

    Enjoy the Autumn/Winter everyone:)

    Morning Everyone,

Kandy and Shiney, you both sound as though everything is stacked against you at the moment. Good luck Kandy with getting things done while you haven't got mr. K around to help you.

Shiney really worried about you. You do not seem to leave yourself time to recover from not being well. You are always on the go. Be nice to yourself for once and let yourself get better before you go chasing off doing so many things. Oscar will tell you I am right.

Well everyone look after yourselves and have a good day. :)

Thanks Kandy and moyra for your good wishes :wub2:

Kandy, I don't want to get bakc to my old self! I'd rather get bake to my young self. :loll:

moyra, life would be too boring if I didn't keep myself doing things. This afternoon's meeting is an important one and I want to make sure that the wrong decisions don't get made. The evening event is part of a national bridge charity event and I'm running our section (they combine the scores from all over the country - boring ). Anyway, bridge comes first :heehee: (and second and third etc)

So before I go to my meeting I'm going to cook a nice beef stew to eat when I get back from the meeting and before I dash off to the charity event.

I can't just sit and do nothing and I definitely can't have a sleep as I hardly ever sleep anyway!

    Thanks for your concerns. :love30:
