I know nothing beats tried and tested experience and advice, but I am a big fan of the Gardener's World site, and thought I would pass on the link to their pests and diseases section. Hoping it might be of some use to one or two

Thanks :-) Much appreciated... Helpful links and feedback is always a "yes" in my books. But believe me, we have some people on these forums which were either brought up in a garden or sprouted from a seed somewhere ^^
