Up until today I had forgotten just how rank petrol tastes, and stale petrol is even worse.

I have developed a weird hobby of collecting and playing with petrol and spirit stoves. I got another ex army rust bucket fired up today, but not before blowing out some of the rank petrol.

    A nice clean petrol stove.

    The rust bucket.

And the rust bucket fired up...

    Priming it.

    Opening the valve to early.

    Now we are there.

    Game over.

BTW.. If anyone has any old camping stoves that they don't want, I'd gladly take them on. I'm particularly on the look out for cheap Optimus stoves.

      Nice one Eddie.

I've got a couple of old metal petrol cans, from about the 30's when petrol prices were so stable 4/- was stamped on the can - 20p a gallon or 4.5p a litre:DOH:
