Seen a few of each of the above two mushrooms at rostherne mere, I think the lower one could be a lawyers wig but I'm not sure to be honest
    Any suggestions folks?
    Thanks :dbgrtmb:

Hello my lovely . I reckon that the bottom picture is coprinopsis atramentaria , google search under that name. Tiz the common ink cap , as opposed to the shaggy ink cap or lawyers wig. apparently the common ink cap is also called the tipplers bane as it is poisonous only when eaten with alcohol ! You are on your own with the top one !!! : ) It does look like a young one tho , whatever it is . It might be easier to identify in a day or two ?
If u want to find out who owns some land birdy , u can find out from the land registery : )

Could be that Wozwoz, pic looks different in my book, doesn't have the nippled top.

Tried that, makes your face go red & your throat close up. Of course, other toxins are available.

As a mod, I had to think that one through before I posted it:D No, I don't think there is a better way of describing it other than "looks similar to Russell Brand."
